Community Involvement

The construction of a new runway at Dublin Airport is, understandably, a very emotive and sensitive issue among the local community.   In this context the Dublin Airport Authority have a long established relationship with the many local community associations in the vicinity of the Airport.

As well as maintaining regular contact with the resident groups during the planning stages of the new runway, our Community Affairs Manager, Maura Cassidy, ensured that all community groups received all the relevant documentation throughout the various stages of the DAA’s planning submissions to Fingal County Council.

In addition to maintaining contact with resident groups the DAA is also a member of the Dublin Airport Stakeholders Forum (DASF).   The DASF was established by the DAA in conjunction with Fingal County Council and the Fingal Development Board. Those attending the DASF meetings include members of the business and wider aviation community as well as representatives from numerous community associations.  The DASF is an opportunity for all stakeholder groups to voice their concerns and learn about the many challenges at the Airport.
