More than 370,000 passengers are expected to travel through Dublin
Airport over the course of the August Bank Holiday Weekend from Friday 4th to
Monday 7th August (incl), 2006, a 14% increase over the same period last
year.
Over 2,270 flights will arrive and depart during this time including 300 charter flights, which have been added to the normal schedule.
Additional Dublin Airport customer care staff will be working throughout the terminal building during the weekend. Dressed in pink polo shirts they are there to help smooth the way for passengers travelling through the departures concourse and to help manage airline queues at check-in desks.
Passengers are advised to check-in at least 90 minutes BEFORE their flight departure time and to give themselves plenty of time to reach the airport in order to comply with Check-in and Security regulations.
Passengers are also advised not to arrive at the airport hours in advance of their flight departure time.
Dublin Airport would like to remind passengers to remove all sharp objects from their hand luggage thereby eliminating additional security searches. These items should be packed into checked-in luggage only.
Passengers are also reminded not to leave their baggage unattended in the terminal building.
