June Bank Holiday at Dublin Airport
More than 230,000 passengers are expected to travel through Dublin Airport over the course of the June Bank Holiday weekend from Friday 4th to Monday 7th June, 2010.
Over 1,800 flights will arrive and depart during this time including more than 100 charter flights to popular sun destinations such as mainland Spain, Portugal, Greece and Turkey.
The Dublin Airport Authority has the following advice for passengers
travelling over the course of this holiday weekend:
• Passengers should plan to arrive in the terminal building at least 90 minutes before their flight departure time irrespective of whether they are checking in on the web or at the airport.
• The Departures Road is a set-down area only. Unattended cars will be towed away without delay. Customers picking up passengers are urged to do so in the short-term car park where a special rate of €1.50 applies for under 30 minutes.
• Passengers are reminded that they must comply with the EU Aviation Security regulations concerning liquids. In this regard passengers are advised to check the details of these regulations on www.dublinairport.com BEFORE setting out on their journey to the airport.
• Once again passengers are reminded to remove all sharp objects from hand luggage. These objects should be packed into checked in luggage, in addition, all laptop computers must be removed from their outer casing for security screening.
Dublin Airport will have Customer Care teams on duty this bank holiday
weekend. Dressed in bright pink polo they are there to assist passengers
through the terminal building.
