At The Airport

Pier D Update

Passengers who have recently travelled through the Temporary Boarding Gates at Pier A will have noticed that the steel structure for Pier D is now fully complete with the glazing work due to be completed within days. The modern glass exterior of the pier can also be clearly seen from the airfield and both the Forrest Little Road and Margaret's Road.

The structural steel for the new bridge and elevated walkway are also rapidly progressing in the area in front of the OCTB. The bridge and the walkway will eventually connect Pier D to the rest of the passenger facilities at the airport via the Link Building

Pier D is a two-storey building that will have 12 boarding gates serving 14 contact stands, which is being built at a cost of €120m. The new pier is on target to open this autumn of this year.
