At The Airport

Seasonal Tips From Dublin Airport

Dublin Airport would like to remind passengers that Christmas Crackers are a prohibited item and are not permitted through the passenger security screening area. Here are some other essential tips for your trip through Dublin Airport this Christmas.

Don't wrap that present
Passengers who are planning to bring Christmas presents on board the aircraft as hand baggage are urged NOT to gift-wrap them.

A Dublin Airport spokesperson said "Many passengers take a lot of care and time to wrap Christmas gifts for family and friends overseas, we would ask them not to wrap these gifts so that they are not disappointed if they are requested to open these packages at the passenger screening area."

Find information on EU Liquid Regulation Restrictions
Passengers are urged to familiarise themselves and comply with the 100ml restriction on liquids at the passenger security screening area. Unfortunately passengers who have liquids in containers measuring more than 100ml will have to surrender them before they can continue on their journey through the airport.    Details can be found on www.dublinairport.com

Remove all sharp objects from hand luggage
Dublin Airport would also like to remind passengers not to carry sharp objects in their hand-luggage, such as, scissors, nail files, blades, cork screws, cutlery or other sharp objects of any description.   These objects should be packed into luggage, which will then be checked-in to the aircraft baggage hold.

These security measures are in place to improve customer safety and comfort and Dublin Airport would like to thank all our customers who have co-operated fully over the last number of months.
