The new 75,000 sq metre terminal at Dublin Airport, Terminal 2, cost €395 million to construct and is capable of handling up to 15 million passengers per year. The terminal is designed to meet the needs of both long-haul and short-haul passengers and airlines.

The new Pier E has been constructed perpendicular to the new terminal - boarding gates 401-426 - and has parking for up to 19 aircraft.

The overall T2 project includes an improved internal campus roads network at Dublin Airport, a major utilities upgrade, a new multi-storey car park and the provision of sites for a new ground transportation centre and a future metro station.

The total cost of the project was just over €600 million.
