Environment
Environmental Impact Statement must accompany a planning application for
runway lengths in excess of 2,100 m. An Environmental Impact study (EIS) is an
appraisal of the environmental effects of a development conducted during the
planning phase of a project.
As part of the scoping exercise for the preparation of the Environmental
Impact Statement, public consultation took place over the following dates:
- 21st October 2002 – 24th October 2002 Great Southern
Hotel, Dublin Airport
- 29th October 2002 – 2nd November 2002 Great Southern
hotel, Dublin Airport
- 11th November 2002 – 15th November 2003 Dublin Airport Terminal Building
