St. Patrick's Day Bank Holiday Passenger Traffic
March 13 2008
Almost 300,000 passengers are expected to travel through
Dublin Airport over the course of this St. Patrick's
weekend from Friday 14th - Monday 17th March, 2008. This increase represents a 7%
increase over the same St. Patrick's weekend last year.
Over 2,250 flights will arrive and depart during this time.
Passengers are strongly urged to familiarise themselves with the EU Security
Regulations regarding liquids BEFORE coming to the airport. Details of
these regulations can be found on www.dublinairport.com.
Once again passengers are reminded to remove all sharp objects from hand
luggage and pack into check in luggage.
Additional Dublin Airport customer care staff will be working throughout the
terminal building during the weekend. Dressed in pink polo shirts they are there
to help smooth the way for passengers travelling through the departures
concourse, at the security screening area and in helping to manage airline
queues at check-in desks.
Ends
13th March, 2008
