Dublin Airport Prepares For Busy Rugby Weekend

More than 17,000 passengers are expected to travel through Dublin Airport on 108 flights to London’s six airports (Heathrow, Stansted, Luton, London City, Gatwick and Southend) over the coming weekend where the Heineken Cup Final will take place at Twickenham.
Dublin Airport will have almost 7,000 extra seats to London over the weekend with 25 additional departing flights.
Rugby fans are also taking flights from Dublin to other British cities and travelling onwards to Twickenham for the All-Irish final between Leinster and Ulster.
At Dublin Airport passengers travelling today, Friday, 18 May, can enjoy live music in the bars beyond security to celebrate the Heineken Cup Final.
The bands will perform between 11.00am and 1.00pm in The Slaney in Terminal 2 and in The Garden Terrace in Terminal 1.
In addition, Classic hits 4FM will broadcast live on Saturday morning from The Garden Terrace in Terminal 1 from 6.00am until 10.00am.
