Dublin Airport To Stage Major Emergency Exercise

Dublin Airport is required under ICAO(International Civil Aviation Organisation) and IAA(Irish Aviation Authority) airport licensing regulations to conduct regular major aircraft emergency exercises.
In that regard a major emergency exercise will take place at Dublin Airport tonight, 4th October. The purpose of the exercise is to test the airport's readiness to deal with a major incident and to test airport plans and how those plans integrate into the plans of the other rescue agencies involved.
The exercise will take place with the co-operation of the airlines at Dublin Airport, IAA, An Garda Siochána, Dublin Fire Brigade and the Health Services Executive.
The emergency exercise will take place between 20.00 and 22.00 flight operations will not be affected during this time.
