Dublin Airport has been nominated for five categories in the 2013 Bord Gais Energy Social Media Awards.
Dublin Airport's social media campaign for its sponsorship of Dubliners at the Dublin Theatre Festival has been nominated for two awards - the Best Use of Social Media For A Sponsorship Campaign and the Best Social Media Only Campaign.
The airport's award winning Twitter feed has also been nominated for Best Business Twitter account - Marketing, Sales.
Dublin Airport's Facebook page has been nominated for an award in the Best Facebook Page For A Business (Non Campaign) and Dublin Airport has also been nominated in the Most Innovative Use of Social Media category.
"We are delighted to have been nominated for five further social media awards, which underscores the strong position that we have achieved in the social media arena over the past 12 months," said DAA Public Affairs Director, Paul O'Kane. "It is particularly pleasing that Dublin Airport's Facebook page, which has only been active since last summer has already been nominated for its first award."
Dublin Airport has now been nominated for 11 awards for its social media activity over the past six months and has won two separate awards. The Dubliners @DublinAirport campaign has now been nominated for four awards.
The Bord Gais Energy Social Media Awards will be presented on May 30 at an event in Dublin.
