1.8 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport in September

Almost 1.8 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport in September,
a 15% decline on the same period last year, according to the Dublin Airport
Authority.
Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe fell
by 16% with just under 970,000 passengers travelling on these routes last
month.
Traffic to the UK recorded a 13% decrease with just over
600,000 passengers travelling in September.
Traffic to North America fell by
12% with almost 148,000 transatlantic passengers in September. Passenger numbers
on domestic routes declined by 32% with just over 48,000 people taking domestic
flights last month
Just under 20,000 passengers travelled to other
international destinations in September, principally on flights to the Middle
East. Traffic in this segment saw no change from last year.
Year-to-date
almost 16.1 million passengers have travelled through Dublin Airport, a 13%
decline over the first nine months of last year.
