Passenger Update: Liquid, gel and paste purchases at EU Airports
On November 6th 2006, a number of new Security regulations became effective at all EU airports.
Travel Value shopping remains largely unaffected and no limit applies to items purchased in the shops located after security check. Some exceptions apply regarding the packing of liquid, gel and paste purchases to transfer passengers and same-day return passengers.
Please see details below:
USA and Canada Passengers
Due to restrictions on US bound flights, passengers
travelling from Dublin Airport via Shannon Airport on a transatlantic flight
must do their Duty Free shopping at Shannon.
At Shannon Airport
all purchases of Duty Free goods for passengers flying directly to the USA and
Canada will be delivered to the boarding gate for collection as passengers board
their aircraft.
Airport staff are available to answer any questions
with regard to these arrangements at the cash
point.
