We want to advise you about upcoming flight checks which will take place as part of Dublin Airport’s mandatory Instrument Landing Systems (ILS) biannual checks.
Subject to weather conditions, the flights will take place between 11pm and 4am from Monday, 25 April to Wednesday, 27 April 2022 (three nights), with one night allocated to each of the three runways.
The flights will involve a small twin-engine aircraft taking off and landing using the existing main operational runway, 10R/28L (southern runway). It will then make multiple approaches to both ends of each runway (10R/28L, 16/34 and 10L/28R) at no lower than a height of 100 feet, and then undertake several passes of the runways at c. 50 feet.
daa is required to facilitate these flight checks in order to comply with EASA (European Aviation Safety Authority) regulations, as directed by the IAA (Irish Aviation Authority). The next mandatory biannual flight checks are scheduled for October 2022 at which stage North Runway will be fully operational.
