Frequently asked questions
daa runs a highly regarded internship programme and is committed to expanding placement opportunities in line with our Talent Strategy. Due to aviation security regulations, all internships are offered for a minimum duration of 6–12 months, as regulated background checks are mandatory and require sufficient time to complete. For this reason, placements of less than six months cannot be facilitated.
Internship opportunities are advertised through our partner colleges, which promote roles directly to students via their student portals. Please note that daa does not accept direct applications for internship roles.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for a daa internship, candidates must:
Be available for a full-time placement of 6–12 months
Be resident in Ireland and meet the relevant EU work permit requirements
Be enrolled in full-time education and returning to college to complete their final year(s) of study
Once you submit an application through the daa Careers portal, you will receive a confirmation email. You can log back into the portal at any time to view the status of your application.
daa does not offer ad hoc work experience placements for students. Instead, we provide a range of structured early‑careers programmes designed to deliver meaningful, professional development opportunities. These include our Internship Programme, Graduate Programme, and Apprenticeship Programme.
