What Is A Sensory Room?

A sensory room is designed to calm passengers who might feel overwhelmed in and around the airport. Depending on the passenger's needs, users will be able to transform the room from a calming and relaxing environment to a stimulating interactive space full of light, colour and sound.

The Sensory Rooms At Dublin Airport

Our Sensory Rooms include a relaxing bubble wall area, Infinity lights, tactile panels, bean bags, comfortable seating, interactive educational boards to promote dexterity and motor skills, a calming corner and much more.

The sensory rooms are free to book for 60-minute sessions ahead of your flight. Unfortunately, walk-ins aren't available

How To Access The Sensory Rooms

You'll find the sensory rooms in both terminals after Security.

  • Following check-in, go through security screening and make your way to your chosen sensory room at your reserved time. You can find them here or by viewing our interactive map. The door is labelled 'Sensory Room'.

  • You'll need to enter your unique PIN to get into the room — you can find it in your email confirmation.

  • If you have booked assistance, an OCS Agent will help you through Security to the sensory room. An OCS Agent will then return at the end of your session to accompany you to your departure gate.

LOCATION
Terminal 1 - near the 200 Gates
Terminal 2 - near the 400 Gates.

Sensory Room Guidelines

To ensure a calm and comfortable experience for all guests, please note the following:

  • Food and drink are not permitted in the sensory rooms.

  • Each booking provides exclusive access to the room — only one travelling group is allowed per session.

  • For optimal comfort, we recommend that no more than 6 people from your group use the room at any one time.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a peaceful and inclusive environment.
