Escort Pass Process
From Monday, March 31, the process on how to apply and seek approval for the issue of Escort Passes will change. Escort Passes can be applied for up to 72 hours in advance and no later than 13:00 the day before the Escort Pass is required. The application shall be submitted on a new Application Portal which will be available from Wednesday the 26th March to allow applications for Escort Passes be submitted & considered from the 31st March.
All submissions will be reviewed and either approved or rejected in advance by the ID Centre. A response on the application request will be sent via email and successful applicants will be able to collect the Escort Pass from the chosen Gate Post or the ID Centre.
The process for the issuing of emergency passes will remain the same.

Following the receipt of guidance material from the Appropriate Authority, daa has amended its Escort Pass Issuance processes to ensure strict adherence to this guidance.
Applications can be submitted up to 72 hours in advance of the visit date. Requests for out of hour collections and next day Escort Pass issues must be submitted before 13:00 on the preceding working day for consideration.
As of December 2024, all contractors, suppliers, and individuals, who require an escort pass to access a security restricted area, must have an operational need and their visit must be deemed ‘exceptional activity’. A full list of the events that are considered an exceptional activity is available
HERE. Escort Passes are restricted to 5 per a person in a 12-month rolling period.
To be a designated Escort & to be permitted to request an Escort Pass via the Portal you must have escort privileges assigned to your AIC. To check if you have these rights, you can contact the ID Centre, or to apply contact your Authorised Signatory with your legitimate business reason.
