Making a car park booking FAQs

Each car park has a quota of pre-book spaces available and a limited number of drive-up car parks spaces available. However, these drive-up car parks spaces may not be available during busy travel periods, so please consider alternative modes of transport to get to the airport clicking here.

There are several transport options available. You can travel directly to Dublin Airport by bus, by taxi, cycling and walking, or by car rental.

Yes, if you have an existing upcoming booking it is still valid and there will be a space for you at your booked Car Park when you arrive.

If you need to use the short term car parks to drop off or collect, take a ticket on entry and you can pay on departure at the pay station.
  • Click here
  • Select your dates and entry and exit time for your travel
  • Click on the "Book Now" button
  • The system will check parking availability for the dates and times specified by you and, if parking is available, will display car park options and prices 
  • Select a preferred car park and continue to the personal details page
  • Enter your payment details and process the payment
  • Once all the details are correct you will receive a booking confirmation by email

The system will accept pre-bookings up to 4 hours prior to the expected time of arrival at the selected car park.

Yes, pre-booked customers can arrive up to 4 hours in advance of the pre-booked arrival time. 
VISA, VISA Debit, Master Card and AMEX. 

Yes, you can still use the car park facilities even if you have not pre-booked online. The charges are as follows:  

Short Term Car Parks: €3.00 for the first hour, €4.50 for every following hour, maximum charge of €40.00 a day.

  • Long Term Car Parks: Express Red: €15 a day, Holiday Blue: €14 a day.
Yes, you may use the same card for multiple bookings providing none of the booking periods overlap. Please provide an alternative credit/debit card for each book for verification purposes only. 

On completion of the booking process, the website will confirm that your booking was accepted and that a booking confirmation is being sent to your email  

You then receive an email confirmation at the email address you provided when making the online booking

These confirmations set out the details of your booking and include your unique booking reference number. 

The foreign exchange rate charged to your credit card is applied at the time you make your booking online. This exchange rate is set by your credit card company. daa receives payment for your online booking only in Euro. 
Dublin Airport Car Parks are available to pre-book up to 1 year in advance.
When you pre-book your car parking, the exit time is automatically extended to the same time as your entry time, on a rolling 24-hour basis, in order to give you the benefit of the full day parking rate, at no extra cost.  
 
For example: if your entry time to the car park is 04.00 on the 10th of June and you are due to exit on the 17th of June, but at a later time such as 19.00, then the system automatically allows you extra exit time to reflect the full 24 hours available to you on your per day car park rate. Your exit time will appear on the booking as 04.00 on the 18th, to allow you ample time, but you will still be able to exit on the 17th.  

A car cleaning service is provided by Crystal Valet. You can choose from 4 options: a Mini Valet, a Deluxe Mini Valet, a Full Valet Interior and a Full Valet. Prices range from €49 to €159. You can book this service when you pre-book your car parking on dublinairport.com.

Crystal Valet provide a 24 hour premium car valeting service throughout all Dublin Airport Short-Term and Long-Term car parks. You can book this service when you pre-book your car parking on dublinairport.com.

If you park without pre-booking, the charges are as follows:    

  • All Short Term Car Parks: €3.00 for the first hour, €4.50 for every following hour  and a maximum charge of €40.00 a day  
  • All Long Term Car Parks: Express Red - €15 a day & Holiday Blue - €14 a day

Online parking charges are calculated on a 24-hour basis or part thereof. Dublin Airport offer a flat rate for both short and long-term parking.

The parking charge for the Holiday Long Term Blue car park is €14 per day or part thereof. 
All promotions that are run are advertised on social media, national newspapers and digital display adverts and these are normally run during off peak season.
No booking fees apply. 
The parking charge for the Express Red car park is €15 per day or part thereof. 
Yes, the parking charges include VAT at 23%
The normal daily parking charge for the Short Term car park is €40.00 per day or €3 for the first hour and €4.50 per hour (or part thereof) for additional hours. 

Amend or cancel a car park booking FAQs

  • It is possible to amend or cancel a booking, however it must be up to 4 hours in advance of the pre-booked arrival time.
  • Go to the "Manage My Booking" section, located under 'Parking' on the Dublin Airport Car Parks homepage.
  • You will need the booking reference number from your booking confirmation and the email address you provided during the booking process.
  • You can also contact Customer Service on 01 944 0440 to cancel your booking.
  • Yes, if you cancel the booking up to 4 hours in advance of the stated, pre-booked arrival time and date, then your car parking fee will be automatically refunded back to you in full to the debit-credit card used to make the online booking.
  • Cancellations cannot be accepted any later than this 4 hour provision. Please go to ‘Manage my booking’ on the home page of dublinairport.com and enter your booking reference number and email used to make the booking to proceed to cancel.
  • You can also contact Customer Service by emailing parkingdublin@dublinairport.com to cancel your booking.
  • Bookings made through Ryanair.com should contact Dublin Airport customer service on 01 944 0440 who will investigate if a refund option is available.

There is no fee for amending or cancelling your booking. However, daa must receive notice of your requested changes at least 4 hours before the stated start time and date of the parking period.

You can amend the booking up to a maximum of 4 hours in advance of the pre-booked arrival time. Please go to www.dublinairport.com and click on the ‘Manage my booking’ link. If you need to extend your booking and your car is in the car park already, please contact Customer Service via 01 944 0440.

It is possible to amend a booking, however it must be up to 4 hours in advance of the pre-booked arrival time. Go to the "Manage My Booking" section, located under 'Parking' on the Dublin Airport Car Parks homepage. You will need the booking reference number from your booking confirmation and the email address you provided during the booking process.

You can also contact Customer Service on 01 944 0440 to cancel your booking and to rebook for the correct Terminal online.

Entering and departing the car park FAQs

The "Full" sign is for the information of customers who have not pre-booked their parking online .

On your return to the airport, please go to the car park pay stations located at Terminal 1 and 2 Arrivals or close to the car park exit barriers in our Long Term car parks and press the help button. One of our team will be able to advise you what the additional charge will be. If you have originally pre-booked your car parking, the team will endeavour to provide the best available rate for the overstay. You can then pay this additional fee at the car park pay stations or at the exit barrier with your debit / credit card.

We advise all car park customers to note down and/or take a photo of their parking space. If you cannot find your car and need assistance, please contact the on-campus car parks Team on +353 1 9444828. There is always someone in the Car Parks Team 24/7 to help you.

There is a free 24-hour vehicle assistance service in operation in the car parks at Dublin Airport. They will be able to help you there and then with a flat battery or flat tyres free of charge, and after that can help to organise other car services as required. Please contact our on-campus car parks team on +353 1 9444828.

Please make sure you put in the dates and times of travel and the registration number of the car in your email, so we can issue you an accurate receipt.  

Gold members should only park in designated parking spaces in the executive car park. Any Gold member parked in a Chauffeur or PRM space will be towed or receive a fine. Both the T1 and T2 executive car parks have electric charging spaces available, and these are clearly marked. If there are no spaces available in the executive car park you may park elsewhere in the short-term car park and the barrier will lift to allow you to access these car parks. The Executive car park in T2 is located on level 3. The Executive car park in T1 is located in Short Term B on ground level.

Please press the intercom button at the barrier and pay stations to talk to a member of the customer service team who can help you.  Alternatively, please call customer service on +353 1 9444828 for the 24 hour call line. 

Should the car park barrier not lift, scan the QR code from your booking confirmation email at the in-lane scanner. This QR code can be printed or scanned from your phone.

To avoid an additional charge, please do not press the button for a ticket. An issued ticket will mean the system will assume that you have no pre-booked reservation.
To gain entry to the Car Park you booked, you will need to scan the QR code from your booking confirmation email at the entry in-lane scanner to raise the barrier. You are also required to scan the QR code again to exit the car park.

Yes, customers can arrive up to 4 hours in advance of the selected entry time of their car park booking. The car parks entry barrier will recognise your vehicle and provide access to the designated car park up to four hours of your selected time.  

Car park shuttle bus FAQs

  • Customer Entry: The shuttle buses that bring passengers to Terminal 1 and 2 buildings operate from the designated bus shelters in the open zones of the car park 
  • Customer Return: The shuttle buses that collect returning passengers, operate from designated bus shelter pick up points opposite Terminal 1 (zone 9) and Terminal 2. 
  • You will see signage for Express Red, Holiday Blue and Express Green car parks, and each bus destination is clearly signed Express Red, Holiday Blue or Express Green. The shuttle bus will drop you to the zone where you have parked your car. If in doubt, please check with the bus driver.
  • Express Red: The transfer time from this car park is approximately 5 minutes.
  • Holiday Blue: The transfer time from this car park is approximately 15 minutes. 
  • Express Green: The transfer time from this car park is approximately 5 minutes. 
  • Please note that bus frequency and transfer times can be affected by external factors such as roadworks or traffic volumes on public roads around the airport, so always allow plenty of time, our recommendation is to allow 30 minutes if parking a car. 
  • Express Red Car Park: Buses are scheduled to depart approximately every 10 minutes from the Express Red Car Park, and drop passengers to the Terminal 1 and 2 buildings. The typical transfer time is approximately 5 minutes and the bus service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note that bus frequency and transfer times can be affected by external factors such as roadworks or traffic volumes on public roads around the airport, so always allow plenty of time, our recommendation is to allow 30 minutes if parking a car. 
  • Holiday Blue Car Park: Buses are scheduled to depart approximately every 15 minutes from the Holiday Blue Car Park, and drop passengers to the Terminal 1 and 2 buildings. The typical transfer time is approximately 10-15 minutes and the bus service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please note that bus frequency and transfer times can be affected by external factors such as roadworks or traffic volumes on public roads around the airport, so always allow plenty of time, our recommendation is to allow at least 30 minutes if parking a car. 
  • Express Green Car Park: Buses are scheduled to depart from the Green Express Car Park every 20 minutes to drop passengers to the Terminal buildings.

Yes, a 24 hour 7 days a week free shuttle bus operates from the Express Red and Holiday Blue Long Term Car Parks. The Express Green operates a free 24 hour shuttle bus. We don't pick up passengers from external parking locations.

Please note that bus frequency and transfer times can be affected by external factors such as roadworks or traffic volumes on public roads around the airport, so always allow plenty of time. Our recommendation is to allow 30 minutes if parking a car. 

Buses are scheduled to depart from the Green Express Car Park every 15 minutes to drop passengers to the Terminal buildings.

Reduced mobility car parking FAQs

  • Terminal 1, Short Term Car Park B, has 50 PRM spaces located on the lower ground floor, maximum height 1.85m
  • Terminal 2, between Level 1 and Level 2, has 40 PRM spaces, maximum eight 2.1 m
  • Spaces are well signed, wheelchair accessible and have a non-slip surface to provide easy movement and access for customers
  • The Express Red Long Term Car Park has 5 PRM spaces within each parking zone, and these are clearly sign posted
  • The Express Red Long Term Car Park is also serviced by a 24 hour, 7 days a week wheelchair accessible shuttle bus service, which operates from the car park and from the designated pick up point opposite Terminal 1 (zone 9)
  • Passengers with reduced mobility who require immediate assistance should contact the team on +353 1 814 5902.

Yes, you can pre-book reduced mobility parking on in 2 stages.  

  • Stage 1 - identify yourself as a Reduced Mobility Driver

Fill in the form here which will automatically send you a Person of Reduced Mobility (PRM) code that you enter during the booking process.This gives you access to the Reduced Mobility Parking area and a preferential parking rate.

To complete this form, you will require your PRM parking permit details (number and expiry date) and the registration number of the vehicle which you will bring to the car park.

Upon submitting this form, you will automatically receive a response which will include a PRM code.

This PRM code is required to get the special short term car park daily rate for permit holders (€9.50 per day).

Please note this PRM code is a guaranteed rate that is unlikely to change, we do offer cheaper rates without a promotional code which will still allow you to access the PRM parking spaces.  

  • Stage 2 - You now have your PRM promotion code, and can book online via the www.dublinairport.com homepage 

Enter your code into the PRM box of the car park quick quote form. 

When you have entered all the relevant detail in the quick quote form, click submit and the appropriate rates for parking will be presented to you.  

Should PRM parking permit holders only require parking for a short period of time, in either of the short term car parks, a rate of €3 for the first hour and €4.50 for the subsequent hours applies – (click here for current short term car park rates). 

If you have not pre-booked, you will still have access to the PRM spaces at a reduced rate, if you do the following. 

  • Arrive at Dublin Airport Terminals 1 and 2 Short-Term car parks or the Express Red car park. 
  • Press the intercom button on the ticket machine.
  • Present a valid PRM parking permit and staff will issue a ticket via the machine.
  • A valid PRM parking permit must be presented at the entrance to these car parks to access this facility.
  • Dublin Airport has appointed OCS to provide assistance services to people with reduced mobility upon arriving at either of the two short term car parks.  
  • Assistance in the short term car parks is available at the help points located in or immediately adjacent to the designated parking areas. 
  • OCS Reduced Mobility Assistance Contact numbers +353 1 814 5902.

General car park FAQs

The long term and short term car parks accommodate standard family cars, SUVs etc. Vehicles are subject to height restrictions in the short-term multi-storey car parks. We do not accommodate large commercial vehicles or vehicles with trailers attached.

  • The quickest option are our short term car parks, which are a short stroll from the Terminal building and check-in, in both Terminals 1 and 2.
  • The next best option is Express Red Car Park, which is on-campus, with 8,000 spaces and only a 5-minute shuttle bus trip away from the Terminal 1 and 2 buildings.
  • Please note that bus frequency and transfer times can be affected by external factors such as roadworks or traffic volumes on public roads around the airport, so always allow plenty of time, our recommendation is to allow 30 minutes if parking a car. 

Different height restrictions apply in different car parks: 

  • No height restrictions apply in the Long Term car parks or Terminal 2 Surface car park
  • Terminal 2 short term Multi-storey car park: 2.1m
  • Terminal 1 short term car park A: 1.85m
  • Terminal 1 short term car park B: 1.85m
  • Terminal 1 short term car park C: 1.85m

Yes, there are a total of 30 charging points in Dublin Airport Car Parks.

  • 12 charging points in the T2 Multi Storey Car Park - located on level 2
  • 2 charging points in the T2 Multi Storey Car Park - located in the executive area on level 3
  • 4 charging points T1 Block A Multi Storey Car Park - located on roof level
  • 2 charging points in T1 Block B executive area Car Park - located on ground level
  • 6 charging points in T1 Block C Multi Storey Car Park - located on level 1
  • 2 charging points Holiday Blue Long Term Car Park - located close to the Exit
  • 2 charging points Express Red Long Term Car Park - located close to the Exit

The EV chargers in the Short term car parks are 22KW dual charge units.

There are two fast charge 50Kw charging points in the Express Red Long Term Car Park located at the facilities building close to the exit. These units are available to Express Red Long Term Car Park customers only. There are two fast charge 50Kw charging points in the Holiday Blue Car Park located close to the exit.

These units are available to Holiday Blue Long Term Car Park customers only.

There is a charge for using these units that can be made by downloading the ePower EV Charging app, signing up to ePower and adding a payment method to your account.
