Passenger Special Assistance Queries

Frequently Asked Questions:

If you are travelling through Dublin Airport and require assistance, we recommend reviewing the airport's accessibility guidance before your journey. You can find helpful travel preparation tips on the Requesting Assistance page, along with answers to common questions on the Accessibility FAQs page. We recommend allowing extra time before travel to ensure any required assistance arrangements can be provided smoothly.

If you are dropping off a passenger who requires assistance:

  • Terminal 1: There is a dedicated drop-off zone on the departure road. The OCS Assistance Desk is located just inside the last entrance door on the left.

  • Terminal 2: There is a dedicated drop-off and collection zone. The OCS Assistance Desk is located in the ground-floor check-in area beside the Aer Lingus check-in desks.

We don't have a dedicated pick-up zone so if you are collecting a passenger, you can park in one of our short term car parks and meet them at arrivals.

Absolutely. To book, please complete and submit the Person with Reduced Mobility Form to receive a PRM single-use code, which you can use to get the reduced parking rate. Select 'I have a PRM Code' when booking and enter your code to book at a reduced rate.

At Dublin Airport, we are committed to helping passengers who may require additional support and assistance. For information on our Important Flyer Lanyard and Wristband programme, including eligibility and how to request assistance, please visit our Autism and Non-Visible Disabilities Support page.

If our PRM spaces are booked out online for your desired dates:

  1. Drive up without a booking and park up.

  2. On exit, press the Help button at the barrier.

  3. Provide your PRM code and show the car parks controller your blue badge.

  4. Our team will apply the reduced rate for your stay.

You can book the Sensory Room online. Bookings must be made at least 12 hours in advance, closing at midnight for the next day.

The EU aviation security regulations allow some exemptions to the restrictions. These include essential medicines and dietary requirements in liquid form, for example baby-food or food for people on special diets. Passengers are allowed to bring these items to the screening points in the quantities that they need during their trip. However, as a safeguard, additional screening may be required.

Please note: From Friday 19 September 2026, passengers may carry unlimited liquids and gels in containers of up to 2 litres in their carry-on baggage. Liquids and electronic devices may remain in baggage during security screening.

There are a range of supports available; Wheelchair Assistance using an airport or own personal wheelchair, Meet and Assist, Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard program, use of passenger buggy (Terminal 1 only) and assistance getting to and boarding the aircraft.

It is recommended that you pre-book any assistance needed 48 hours before your flight departure time.
