This September, in the first of two company-wide volunteer Community Difference Days, over 80 daa volunteers from departments all across the business joined together to build brilliant new spaces at Santry Scouts Den and the Lorcan Estate Community Centre.

From clearing the scout's garden site of trees, bushes and a shed, to building five individual projects, the volunteers worked hard to create a sensory area, an outdoor classroom, a new firepit, along with a memorial area and horticultural planting space, and this transformation revitalized an overgrown outdoor space into something special for the Scouts to enjoy. Volunteers also took on a sixth project, a planting and seating area, in the pitches alongside the Scouts Den and the Lorcan Residents Community Centre that now provides a new place for people to meet and spend time while visiting these clubs. 

The daa staff volunteers, along with Difference Days and their team, really grouped together and it is amazing to see the final result and transformation a group of people working together can achieve in one day, even in the rain!
