The 3rd community Difference Day of 2025 was a roaring success at Donabate Portrane Community Centre on Friday, 26 September, when over 40 daa staff volunteers arrived to transform a green grass area into three community spaces.

The sun was shining, the ice-creams flowing, and the local community really came out in force to cheer the volunteers on throughout the day. From the lovely pre-school children from Bright Sparks who greeted them in the morning, to the local Men's Shed singers, 'Gerry and the Plonkers', who provided the entertainment for the lunch break and to the local school kids, teenagers, and families who stopped by just to chat, the energy was electric.

Working with the team from Difference Days, the volunteers produced lovely outdoor areas for the local community with an outdoor classroom, a large greenhouse and a planting and seating area for all the community groups to use for years to come.
