Almost 1.6 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport in November, a 12% increase on the same month last year.

Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe grew by 14% with almost 706,000 people travelling to European destinations during the month.

UK traffic recorded an 8% increase with just under 678,000 passengers travelling to and from Britain in November.

Transatlantic volumes increased by 10% with more than 134,000 passengers travelling to and from North America during the month.

Other international passenger traffic, which includes flights to the Middle East, increased by 36% with just over 53,000 passengers travelling this route sector in November.

Passenger numbers on domestic flights rose by 13%, with more than 5,800 travelling on domestic routes during the month.

Just over 20 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport from January to November this year, an increase of 7% over 2013.
