Dublin Airport has welcomed Ryanair’s decision to launch a new three times daily service to Brussels Zaventum Airport.

“This new service to Brussels, which will begin in late October, will offer passengers increased choice and flexibility on the route,” according to Dublin Airport Managing Director, Vincent Harrison.

Ryanair will continue to operate a service from Dublin to Brussels Charleroi Airport, but at reduced frequencies from October 26, when the new Brussels Zaventum service begins.

The new Brussels service is the ninth new Ryanair route from Dublin for this winter season. The airline is also increasing frequencies on 21 existing services from Dublin this winter.

Passengers numbers at Dublin Airport are up 7% so far this year, as almost 12.3 million passengers travelled through the airport in the seven months to the end of July.
