Passenger numbers at Dublin Airport increased to 1.3 million in January, which represented a 10% increase over the same period last year, according to Dublin Airport Authority (DAA).
  
Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe increased by 5% with just over 586,000 passengers travelling to European destinations.
 
UK traffic increased by 17% with almost 539,000 passengers travelling this route sector in January.
 
Passenger volumes to and from North America grew by 9% with almost 98,000 passengers travelling on routes to the US and Canada in January.

Other international traffic, principally to the Middle East and North Africa, increased by 4% with almost 50,000 passengers travelling these routes in January. 

More than 3,400 passengers travelled on domestic routes last month, down 10% on January 2013.
