Just over 2.3 million passengers passed through Dublin Airport in July, an increase of 6% on the same period last year, according to the Dublin Airport Authority.

Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe rose by 5% with almost 1.3 million passengers travelling to European destinations during the month.

Just over 685,500 passengers travelled to UK destinations in July, an increase of 5% when compared to last year.

Transatlantic traffic to North America increased by 15% with almost 254,000 passengers travelling on this route sector last month. Traffic to other international destinations, which covers mainly flights to the Middle East and charters to North Africa, increased by 12%.  Almost 61,000 passengers travelled on these routes during July.

Passenger numbers on domestic routes increased by 28% with almost 9,000 travelling on domestic flights last month.

So far this year, almost 12.3 million passengers have travelled through Dublin Airport, a 7% increase when compared to the same period last year.
